Chinese New Year!

We have been learning about Chinese New Year in year 2. We have been learning all about the preparations, decorations and how Chinese New Year is celebrated. 


The children really loved the decorations so we made some lanterns and paper decorations.

Disgusting sandwiches!

 The children had the chance to make a disgusting sandwich, inspired by the story 'The Lighthouse Keeper's lunch'. The children used a range of ingredients including pickles, mustard and blue cheese to create their sandwiches. They carefully used sharp knives to cut their ingredients, and chose what order they wanted their ingredients to be in. The children had the option to taste their finished sandwich at the end- some were pleasantly surprised, some not!
