British Science Week!

Image
Last week was British Science Week! The children had been interacting with a live lesson and different activities about a farmer and animals. In the afternoon, the children had the amazing opportunity to see Mr Sainsbury - a scientist.  He showed the children a range of experiments- changing colours using acids, creating fire, changing colour of fire- this is the same as what happens in fireworks, creating a mini volcano that the children loved. They were so engaged and had amazing questions and answers!  When asked what jobs use science, some children said 'engineering', 'being a vet', 'being a doctor or a nurse' and  'teaching science'. A lot of the children were fascinated with the range of scientific experiments that they had observed.
